Building on a Year of Hope
We have much to celebrate here at Emmanuel including the success of last year’s “Hope Grows Here” campaign. Because of your generosity in 2018-2019, contributions exceeded the annual budget for the fiscal year that recently ended on June 30th. This milestone had not happened in at least ten years, which is surely a sign that grace and hope abound within Emmanuel.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Love Grows Here at Emmanuel
As we look to the future of our church community, we enter a new stage in our stewardship journey. This year’s theme is, appropriately, “Love Grows Here.” Now that we have fully owned our operating budget, our great commission to feed the hungry, shelter the poor and make more disciples of Jesus will be rooted in love – the all-encompassing love of God.
The Emmanuel 2020 Commitment kicks-off on Sunday, October 6. You will have an opportunity to submit your commitment card online by clicking below or in-person during worship services on October 27 and November 17. In January, you will be invited to celebrate our commitments for 2020 during a special Gratitude Sunday service.
“But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8:7
