Sara first connected with the Lutheran community during college when a friend invited her to work at Caroline Furnace. She served as a camp counselor there during the summers of 2016 and 2019. Sara grew up in Southern Maryland, where she attended Patuxent Presbyterian Church. Her relationship with Jesus grew through her high school youth group and deepened in college through her involvement with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Outside of Emmanuel, Sara works as a social worker. She enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Olive!
