2018 Stewardship Drive: “Hope Grows Here”

Every autumn, as days grow shorter and the year draws to a close, members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church work together to present an annual stewardship appeal and ask for a generous response. This year, our theme is “Hope Grows Here,” which captures the many reasons we call Emmanuel our spiritual home:

  • Here, our babies, youth, and adults are welcomed into the Christian faith.
  • Here, our adult children are married.
  • Here, the lives of our parents, children, siblings, extended family, and friends are celebrated.
  • Here, we find a place for quiet reflection as well as for prayerful challenge.
  • Here, we find good friends and fellow travelers in our lives of faith.

Here at Emmanuel, faith, love, and hope grow in abundance, and we are grateful for these blessings.

As you prayerfully reflect on the positive ways Emmanuel impacts your life, please consider how you might contribute your time, talent, and treasure to nurture our church home. The goal is for us to become more loving and generous with our community and our world.

Watch your mailbox for the “Hope Grows Here” annual stewardship campaign packet, which will include a letter from Pastor Tony, campaign brochure, and pledge card. Please call the Church Office at (703) 938-2119 if you do not receive your packet by November 5th.

We ask all members to return their pledge cards—even if you give electronically—on one of two Commitment Sundays, November 11th and November 18th.

The online version of the pledge card is available here:
