The Power of the African-American Spiritual

Come and experience the legacy of the spiritual!  This half-hour event, held outside in the Emmanuel Courtyard, will cover the history and development of this method of song and the significance it maintains for Americans today. We will also discuss how to sing spirituals and as a group musically explore a few of them together.

Robert Morehead is looking for as many people that would like to be part of the workshop choir. Everyone is welcome and there is no musical experience needed to participate.
