Water Stewardship Workshop

To address the challenges of water pollution and poor water quality in our local watersheds, Justine Bell is hosting a Water Stewardship Workshop at Emmanuel on Saturday, May 16. The day will feature a Seminar in the Sanctuary from 10 AM to noon with expert speakers from Clean Fairfax, Fairfax Water, and the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District (NVSWCD). From noon to 2 PM, there will be a community fair in the Centrum featuring local environmental organizations and Fairfax County environmental and water-quality community education. From 2 to 5 PM, she has invited the NVSWCD to host a rain barrel workshop in Fellowship Hall, where the community will learn about the benefits, and eight families or small groups will assemble eight rain barrels.
