Welcome Church Sunday

ELC will (finally!) be hosting our first ever Welcome Church Sunday event on Sunday May 1st! That Sunday, thanks to our Invite, Welcome and Connect Team, we will be rolling out the red carpet for guests, new and current members, long-time Lutherans, and those who are Lutheran-curious.

There are two ways to participate! First, you can bring your friends, family, neighbors, and their friends to in-person worship, and we will create a comfortable and user-friendly way to engage in worship. Additional greeters and ushers will be on hand to welcome, guide, and answer questions. All worshippers will be invited to a special Adult Forum, though everyone is welcome to attend any of our other groups and classes of all ages during Education Hour, with light refreshments and special gifts to take home.

The second way is to volunteer to host neighbors and friends at home with brunch and stream worship together. Hosts will guide a low key and welcoming experience with our online presence. This opportunity is ideal for families with young children not yet vaccinated, neighbors still in a “pod,” or friends who are nervous about crowds or new places. Either way you choose to engage, join us and bring a pal!
