You are invited to join Pastor Lydia in reading and discussing “Outside the Lines: How Embracing your Queerness Will Transform Your Faith” by Mihee Kim-Kort. The book discussion will be February 23 at 7:00 PM on Zoom. This book is a great follow up to Rev. Emmy Keglers memoir “One Coin Found”, and takes many of the same themes even further. Kim-Kort discusses a word that many of us feel uncomfortable with – “queerness” – and redefines it as bursting open binaries, crossing categories, rejecting limits, freedom from rigid identities, all in the name of justice and vulnerability. This book is about radically welcoming ourselves and other people for who they are – beloved child of God.
