Together in God's Love
2025 Commitment
The theme for this year’s stewardship campaign is “Together in God's Love.” We celebrate God's love as members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church give generously of their time, talents, and treasure to share that love with the world in ministry together!
Provide Long-Term Stability for Emmanuel and Our Ministries
Planned giving refers to gifts made either during a donor’s lifetime or as a “legacy” or charitable estate gift, effective upon the donor’s death.
Planned gifts may be either designated for deposit into the ELC Endowment Fund or made directly to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
In 2020, the ELC Endowment Fund was established for the purpose of encouraging planned gifts to provide sustained, long-term support for Emmanuel and its various ministries.
Other Ways to Give
There are several ways you can support Emmanuel’s mission.
Stock Transfers
If you have appreciated stock in your portfolio but don’t want to pay capital gains, you can gift a portion of the stock to Emmanuel as a charitable donation.
Qualified Charitable Contributions
If you are at least 70-1/2 years old by December 31 and own a traditional (non-Roth) IRA, you can make a Qualified Charitable Contribution to Emmanuel to help you hit your Required Minimum Distribution each year.
Thrivent Choice Dollars
If you are a member of Thrivent Financial, you are offered 1 cent annually on premiums paid in free money called Thrivent Choice Dollars. You can designate these Choice Dollars to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice. Questions? Contact Thrivent Member Care Services at 800-847-4836.
Giving Time & Talent
Emmanuel partners closely with several local non-profits to provide funding, volunteer support, and in-kind donations to individuals and families whose living situation is “on the edge”. We focus on three areas for local support:
- Homelessness
- Ending Hunger
- Housing
