KNOWN. NOTICED. LOVED.
Are you looking for a place to talk about what’s going on in life and a place to grow together with a community of faith? You belong here. Youth are a vital part of the body of Christ. At Emmanuel, our church family works to provide a place where you can
- Build community
- Struggle with tough questions in a safe environment
- Learn and be mentored with adult leaders
- Serve together on summer service trips and through regular service opportunities throughout the year
What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is an opportunity for people to affirm for themselves the promises that their parents, sponsors and congregation made for them at their baptism.
If you have not been confirmed or baptized and are older than 9th grade, please contact us and we can figure out together what this journey looks like for you! All of God’s children are welcome to participate in the sacrament of Baptism.
Confirmation at Emmanuel
6th to 9th graders and their parents or guardians are invited to participate in weekly Confirmation classes on Sunday mornings during 9:45 am. Confirmation takes place every year on Reformation Sunday in late October.
You belong here
Attending church and building a faith community shouldn’t end once you are confirmed. This is a life long journey of questioning, doubting, believing and serving. We believe it is important to provide today’s youth with a safe space to de-stress, wrestle with their faith and build an affirming community with others.
CONNECTIONS group for high schoolers
All 9th to 12th grade students are invited to the high school youth group called CONNECTIONS which meets every week on Sundays from 7:00 – 8:00 pm in the Youth Lounge.
Each Sunday of the month we have a different theme including guest speakers, dinners out at a restaurant of the students’ choosing, devotions and faith talks, etc.
Occasionally there are weekend offsite outings for outdoor adventures and opportunities to serve.
