LGBTQ+ Young Adult Mental Health: Connecting in Precarious Times
During these tumultuous times, uncertainty looms continually and, as a nation, we find ourselves experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety at record high rates.
Our LGBTQ+ brethren are at even higher risk for experiencing mental health symptoms and crises given the compounding intensity of multiple stressors. As a Christian community we are called to “do justice and love mercy,” (Micah 6:8) compassionately caring for those as we walk humbly with God. As an adult friend, ally, family of or member of LGBTQ+ community, join us for this program exploring how to recognize and effectively engage in Christian care for those who are at risk or experiencing mental health conditions.
The forum will be presented THIS SUNDAY at 4:00 PM by Ellen Murphy, LCSW, psychotherapist at St. Mark Counseling Center in Vienna and ELC Reconciling in Christ Committee Member.
